Product description

DIMET IMG series electropermanent (impulse) magnets are designed for handling cold slabs, rectangular semi-finished products and bundles of rolled sheet. The permanent magnets feature a special design with a deep magnetic field and work reliably even with an air gap of several millimetres between the magnet and the load. The magnetic field does not depend on the power supply, which makes load handling exceptionally safe.

Main design advantages IMG

1. Lower operating costs – No power is consumed while the load is held – the coil is energised only by a short impulse to switch the magnet on and off.
2. Higher safety – Electric power is needed only to switch the magnet. In the event of a power failure the load does not fall and is held for a long time.
3. Longer working cycle – Continuous power supply is not required, so there is no heat build-up – a high duty cycle and long working cycle are possible.
4. Stable lifting capacity – The lifting capacity remains constant during operation, as it does not depend on coil heating.
