Scrap magnets

Round electromagnets for handling blocks, slabs, plates, bars, and scrap usable in foundries, warehouses, metal scrap industry. Scrap electromagnets were specially designed with a very deep magnetic field for handling metal scrap. The diameter and weight of the magnet is adapted for lifting standard metal scrap with a crane. The magnet is seated in ribbed housing. The body construction is waterproof and made of steel with high permeability, chain suspension is made of high-strength steel. All elements are designed to reach maximum efficiency.
Standard features and parameters:
- single unit coil with moisture-proof insulation. The electromagnet coil is protected by double layer of fiber glass winding, and extra insulating protection is provided by a special compound, all cured in an oven presenting a hammer-proof solid texture. This type of insulation is sturdy, and resistant to mechanical and climatic influences. Coils are made by default of aluminium, but can be made of copper upon request.
- standard duty cycle is 75%, other duty cycles are available upon request.
- electromagnet voltage is 220 VDC.
- supply is possible as stand-alone scrap magnet, with a power supply with backup system, or with a power supply without backup system.
- double bottom plate to assure the coil from foregoing substances entrance.
- robust terminal box takes an integral part of the magnet housing.
- most series can be used for underwater works following minor modifications.
- three-strand heavy alloy steel chains with the common link provided with hardened steel sockets to prevent wearing.
