Power-Mag is a separation system that has been specially developed for applications where a small height of the magnetic separator, a strong magnetic system and a minimal risk of clogging the separator are required. The magnetic rods have a rectangular cross-section, the separators are equipped with an extractor. The magnetic field and the shape of the magnetic system are specially designed for use in materials that do not flow freely and / or tend to adhere and accumulate on the surface of the structure. The extractor is tapered on the top, which allows a more even flow of raw material and reduces the risk of clogging the separator. Powermags are ideal for separating iron impurities from coarse or hygroscopic raw materials.

The cleaning of the system is automatic, but it is necessary to stop the material flow before the actual cleaning. When the material flow is stopped, the cleaning cycle of the separator starts based on the signal from the remote control. The pneumatic cylinders first push the entire magnetic system out of the working space. Other pneumatic cylinders then push the rod magnets out of the extractor. The trapped ferromagnetic particles fall off the extractor by their own weight and then the pneumatic cylinders push the entire magnetic system back into the working space and the material flow can be restarted.
